Trip to WV

Another vacation that went way too fast. Unfortunately Sidney, Scott & I spent most of it still coughing from this cold. Sidney ran a fever of 103 the first night, but seemed to be down to coughing by Thursday.

Thursday we piled into the red Scion and headed for a field trip to Endless Caverns in New Market, VA. Since it was so early in the season, we were the only ones on the tour, which was great. The cavern was warmer than it was outside at 55 degrees. We hiked over a mile and were definitely worn out by the time we settled in at Cracker Barrel to refuel.

We all had a great time - except Mom could have done without the bats...

Walking through...
People were asked to sign the rock as they left up until the 1970s...

There were hibernating bats everywhere...

Friday we got to hang out w/ my nephew Coby (and my brother & sister-in-law). We had a great time playing Wii w/ him

Saturday we spent almost the entire day sifting through my Mom's horde of pictures from when she was a kid up until recently - sorting and putting into photo albums. What a chore!

Back in NC - but definitely miss my Mom and the rest of the family. There's such a great feeling about being home w/ family.
