Valentine's Day

The Boaz fam had an awesome Valentine's Day this year. It actually goes back to last year's Disney World trip, when the kids begged to skip the fireworks and night parade just to go back to the hotel to swim in a pool. We quickly realized that the kids would probably be just as happy skipping the sightseeing part of the trip and just stay in a hotel w/ a pool, which can be done without an airplane ticket and cost of Mickey tickets.

So....being the cool and innovative parents that we are (ha ha) Scott and I planned a Valentine surprise weekend for the girls.

First....we went to Durham to the Life and Science Museum and played, saw animals and explored...

The museum has some animals - wolves, lemurs and 3 bears.

Then....part 2 of the surprise...an indoor swimming pool in February - PURE JOY!
We won points and had the best behaved kids for a couple of days. Who says you can't take a vacation on a budget :-)
